I was already really good. These last few months have taken me to a whole new level in my game. I can't wait to compete. Two time Gold Medalist, Olympic Games: 2004, 2008 Thanks Dr. Gervais for providing me the mental tools necessary to renovate my inner self. Now the house has become more suitable to the present day weather, as well as, the ever changing of the seasons. The neighborhood thanks you! Olympian, 2000
FIFA World Cup, 2002, 2006
SOCCER I'm absolutely certain that the main reason why I've been able to extend my career is because of the work we did together. When most folks seem to get slower with age, I've been able to slow the game down by controlling the mental side of it. It's soooo much easier now. Thanks, Doc. NHL, 8 years "Dynamics of the FOCUS program are so valuable on many fronts ….communication skills, teamwork, being able to perform under pressure, and a sense of community to name a few. It’s a rare opportunity for so many young people to interact in such a positive way. This could be a model for so many other programs." Super Bowl Champion

Defensive Tackle Hey there Doc, Things are going really well for me. I've now changed up my focus and approach and I'm now lovin' where I'm at. Thanks for everything. MLB, All Star Doc, thanks for the "light" to the top of the podium! 2005 World Champion
Gold Medal, Worlds "For twenty years, I concentrated only on technique & endurance. After working with Dr. Gervais, I realized that the mental aspects of my training are as equally important. The experience was eye opening, rewarding and definitely helped me reach my goal!"

"Dr. Gervais taught me how to be in complete control of my game at all times, whether it be at practice or one of the biggest games of my life. Being able to control the tension in my body allowed me to perform at my highest level at all times. Learning how to recognize and respond to frustration broke down the wall that was preventing me to reach new levels of my game that I never understood possible. [After training with Mike] I walked on to the court with a new feeling of confidence because I had a mental advantage over my opponents."

1998, 2002, 2006 "Hey Dr. G....I'm so fired up! We (my partner and I) just placed the highest ever in our last tournament, which was super important for us. We've been struggling a bit this year, but not this tournament….and this was a triple points and money tournament. I was so calm, cool, and collected the entire time! No breathing troubles, no over exhaustion, totally and completely in control of my game. I ended up Numero Uno in digging percentage AND total number of digs, actually 20 digs more than the second placed gal. Not that's IMPRESSIVE! Woo hoo, just had to share my excitement. Thanks Big G. The hard work paid off and your Champion Mind presentation went very well. We want to thank you for being a part of our mission and coming to our ship. Your presentation was great. This type of training is something that most of us have not seen before…and we need more of it. Thanks for everything...you are really doing the Navy and our Command a service. Great partnership!Thank you. US NAVY, Lieutenant "With this training, I felt better able to handle my own errors and get past them and focus on the next play. There was a new sense of calmness on the court which helped slow the game down and allowed me to block everything else out. " USD Volleyball

"Mike --Thanks for everything that you have done for me. I really learned a lot about myself from taking the assesment. It helped point out my strengths and weaknesses in a very positive and constructed way. I feel that I have a lot things that I can work on and improve at. You are AWESOME Mike. Thanks again!" UCLA Volleyball "Hey Mike, I had a big tournament yesterday and the skills you taught me made all the difference. I got first place in the US national championship! I had some tough matches, especially my last match. The guy I fought has been doing this for a lot longer and has alot more experience than I do, but he looked tired and nervous and I used that to my advantage. I made him think I was going to tear him up. I threw him in the first minute for points and stayed on top for the remaining 6 min. I couldn't tap him out, but that's ok. I think if he would have been ready mentally he would have beat me since his experience/skill level is higher. Since I got 1st [place], I will be on the US national team to fight against Brazil next year. Thanks again." US National Team, Martial Arts "Mike, Kudos and many thanks for your presentation this afternoon to our student-athletes and coaches on Building High Performance Teams. Our
students were highly interested in the presentation, and I know a number of your points hit home with them and their coaches. By the response I noted from our attendees, we were successful many times over!
I thank you again for your time and expertise, and look forward to being able to follow up on the great foundation we have set when you are next in
the Central New Jersey region. Have a safe and restful return to Southern California."

"The system that Mike walked me through was instrumental in putting my upcoming race in perspective, removing mental blocks and helped increase the quality of my practices. I learned what to do when I hit challenges and how to release my mistakes – those tools really helped my inner-confidence. I’m sooooo thankful for his help! Tri-athlete
2nd place, Pier to Pier Ocean Swim "After four years of producing national events at the high school and college levels, I have never been associated with a program that better represents the true essence of leadership development, drug-prevention, and education." Director of Events

"Mike teaches how to respond to mistakes and it transfers to everything you do as far as mistakes you make day to day. I think it transfers to every aspect of life, but especially to athletics. Kids get one or two points off on a test they go down the toilet, they just can’t deal with it. So, [you have to] understand there’s going to be mistakes, but how do you respond to it; that’s the key." High School Head Basketball Coach "Mike, the Pier To Pier 2-Mile Ocean Swim is now a happy memory that I can add to my mental and photo scrap book. I also have a medal for 2nd place in my division. Much of my success I share with you as the information you provided my group in the Ocean Swim Clinic preparing us for the swim was instrumental in my success. From stressing the importance of 'having a plan' to recognizing red and yellow lights and how to handle those situations to simple exercises such as breathing and stretching you provided me with a level of confidence I never would have attained without such information. I will be utilizing these skills in future swims as well as other areas of my life. Again, thank you for you professional input and enthusiastic support!" Tri-athlete "Dr. Gervais- On March 3rd, 2005 you gave a motivating and profound presentation to the student athletes of Princeton High School.... I would like to thank you on behalf on myself and the Princeton Girl's Basketball team(s) for such a inspiring presentation.... we could definitely use your techniques to be stronger (as a team). Thank you again for visiting Princeton High School." Manager of Girl's Basketball 2005 "I feel I am way more controlled, super confident, and focused on the job. I am really enjoying my competitions but keeping the emotions inside. Feel like I am at top level of my 'game'." World Champion, 2007 "Hey Doc, I went to the gym today, it was kind of weird going in there as a "non athlete", but it was still great to see everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I got a job offer from XXXXXX today, after 5 interviews. Wow! The first couple interviews didn't go so well, so I sat myself down the night before the next interviews and visualized how everything was going to happen....talking punctually and clearly, calm and confident, and more or less just being a "champion" before I began the interview, and knowing that I was gonna control all that I could do and be satisfied while letting the outside forces do their own thing. And everything worked. So its refreshing to know that the skills I learned in Professional sports didn't stop there, but they continue to grow and blossom everyday in my life. There are good days and bad days....and its those challenges that I overcame that I know will give me an advantage in life outside professional sports. So thank you," Transition from Pro Sport to Business McDonald's' All American - Professional Athlete - Businessman
